Job Profile Summary:
Responsible for the reliable operation of the organization's buildings, facilities, machinery and equipment. Manages and/or performs work in all/some of the following areas: 
  • Refurbishment of buildings/facilities, such as manufacturing facilities, retail stores and/or warehouses.
  • Preventative and reparative maintenance of company buildings, facilities, machinery and equipment.
  • Oversight of work related to electric maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry and masonry, substituting, changing, cleaning, repairing and installing pieces, components and equipment.

Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Maintenance Manager position is to plan, lead and direct all activities supporting the maintenance of the buildings, equipment, and related facilities and systems and perform related work to ensure maximum production quantity and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
  • Oversee all plant equipment performance related to uptime and downtime.
  • Project planning for Continuous Improvement.
  • Source, quote and negotiate pricing for equipment and repairs.
  • Work with freon refrigeration.
  • Training and communication with maintenance team on the PM protocols of the facility.
  • Approving bills and monitoring credit and returns.

WORK HOURS:
This is a full-time position.  The incumbent must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.  Work hours may vary, or change based on departmental requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
  • 2-5 years in maintenance management
  • Computer Skills, Electrical, and mechanical skills
Skills:
  • Reading schematics (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic), Proficient with testing equipment and measuring instruments.
  • Mechanical aptitude, Leadership skills, Analytic problem solving
Decision Making Authority:
Most important decisions made fully independently:
  • Purchases under $10,000
  • New Vendor setups
  • Plan layouts in production
Maintenance Manager:
  • Purchasing of equipment over $10,000
  • Major project plan expense approval
